101 Films to release documentary “Against The Tides”

On 1st March 2021 101 Films, an Amcomri Entertainment Inc will release “AGAINST THE TIDES” on digital platforms, a poignant documentary that chronicles a woman’s attempts to swim all seven of the world’s most harrowing sea channels in a single year, a feat that tests both her athletic limits and her personal relationships.

British marathon swimmer and world record holder Beth French sets out to swim across seven of the world’s most dangerous sea-channels – an extreme challenge called Oceans Seven – and do it in record time: within one year.

Driven by her desire to set an example for her autistic son and to overcome a life-long, debilitating illness, Beth travels to far- flung corners of the world confronting jellyfish, sharks, wild weather, hypothermia and her own inner demons.

But, in an unpredictable and emotional climax, Beth’s yearning to conquer the open sea comes into heart-rending conflict with a mother’s dreams for her son.

During its 10-month long UK theatrical release in 2019, Against the Tides played at 60+ cinemas across the UK, with many sold-out screenings in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.
