101 Films secures a six-movie deal with Sky Cinema

101 Films, an Amcomri company, has confirmed a 6-movie deal with Sky Cinema (British Sky Broadcasting). The package includes ‘Rogue Hostage’ starring Tyrese Gibson star of 2 multi-billion-dollar movie brands Fast and Furious and Transformers alongside award winning actor John Malkovich. All 6 movies will have their TV premiere in UK on Sky Cinema as part of the deal and include :

Rogue Hostage aka Red 48 (2021) Single father and former Marine Kyle Snowden (Tyrese Gibson) fights a daily battle with PTSD while holding down a job with Child Protective Services. While attending the re-opening of a store owned by his stepfather – Congressman and businessman Sam Nelson (John Malkovich) – Kyle finds himself trapped along with a group of innocent bystanders when an armed gang led by Eagan Raize (Christopher Backus – Mindhunter) take over the store and hold the occupants hostage, including Kyle’s young daughter.

The Last Job (2021) stars Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws) as an ex-mob boss, suffering from terminal cancer, seeking revenge on the thieves who have stolen his life savings and ruined his final plans. Can his daughter (played by fellow Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino) stop her father’s deadly plan?

Dr Birds Advice For Sad Poets (2021) Part “The Perks of Being A Wallflower” and “Words on Bathroom Walls,” this quirky teenager dramady tackles mental illness with ingenious visual cues. “Dr. Bird” follows 16-year-old literature aficionado James Whitman (Lucas Jade Zumann) who spends his days inner monologuing, trying to process his thoughts and relay them to an imaginary pigeon (voiced by Tom Wilkinson) stooped on his chair. Also starring Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) and David Arquette. 

Senior Moment (2021) Victor Martin (William Shatner – legend) is a retired NASA test pilot often seen speeding around Palm Springs in his vintage Porsche convertible with his best friend Sal (Christopher Lloyd – Back to the Future) in tow. His life changes when his license is revoked for drag racing and his car impounded. We Still Say Grace (2020) Harold (Bruce Davison – X-Men), his wife Betty and their daughters Maggie and Sarah (Holly Taylor and Rita Volk) live in an isolated farmhouse, many miles from their nearest neighbours. Harold rules over the family, enforcing a rigidly patriarchal interpretation of the bible. When three young men turn up at their door after getting a puncture, Maggie senses an opportunity to get away from her controlling and increasingly dangerous father.

Hero Mode (2021) Hero Mode is about Troy Mayfield, a coding genius who has just one month to create the best video game ever. Troy’s mom (Mira Sorvino), the owner of the failing indie game business Playfield, puts Troy in charge of reviving the company. Although he is a genius coder, the employees are less than happy to have a teenage boy as their new boss. With an upcoming gaming convention being their chance to impress picky streamers, the team must work together to create a game that “real gamers really wanna play.” Also stars Sean Astin (LOTR), Nelson Franklin (Veep) and Mary Lynn Rajskub (Brooklyn Nine- Nine).
