Amcomri Entertainment Inc acquires Hollywood Classics with an eye to revival and growth

101 Films, a member of theAmcomri Entertainment Inc, has acquired Hollywood Classics Limited with a view to reviving the business and growing its global distribution network.

Hollywood Classics is one of the UK’s leading film sales agencies, representing international DVD and Blu-ray rights for the libraries of major studios as well as physical and digital rights for several independent catalogues.

CEO Andy Lyon believes that 101 Films has the contacts and the talent to revive the Hollywood Classics core business for the major studios as well as growing a global distribution network for independent producers and library rights holders.

“With the support of our parent company, AMG, we will stabilise and then grow this business substantially around the world. Most of the titles will transfer immediately to the 101 Films library and producers will be able to benefit from a rapid reconstruction of licensing arrangements,” he said. 101 Films is currently negotiating the transfer of distribution rights and associated assets into a new entity, Hollywood Classics International
