101 Films International launches remake of “The Most Dangerous Game”

101 FILMS INTERNATIONAL, THE UK BASED SALES DIVISION OF AMCOMRI ENTERTAINMENT INC (AMEN:NEO) (FRANKFURT: 25Y0)  LAUNCHES REMAKE OF 1930S CLASSIC THRILLER THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME AT EFM

UK-based sales firm 101 Films International, a member of the Amcomri Entertainment Inc, has boarded worldwide sales (excluding North America) for The Most Dangerous Game, a remake of the classic 1930s survival thriller which launches at EFM this week.

Shot in the Pacific Northwest, the film stars award-winning actor Tom Berenger (Platoon) and Chris ‘C.T.’ Tamburello (Habitual), alongside two-time Academy Award nominee Bruce Dern (Nebraska), Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club) and Caspar Van Dien (Starship Troopers).

A co-production by Koenig Pictures and Mill Creek Entertainment, in association with Quiet on Set Productions, Charach Productions and Greenfield Media, The Most Dangerous Game is written and directed by Justin Lee (Final Kill), produced by Ed Morrone and Michelle Ng and executive produced by Bill Sondheim and Randy Charach.

Other cast members include Elissa Dowling, Kevin Porter, Eddie Finlay and Randy Charach in this remake of the original 1932 classic thriller which starred Joel McCrea, Fay Wray and Leslie Banks, and is based on the popular short story written by Richard Connell, published in 1924.

The deal was negotiated by Andy Lyon, CEO, 101 Films International and Bill Sondheim, President and CEO, Greenfield Media LLC. The Most Dangerous Game follows a survivor of a shipwreck stranded on an island being hunted down by his fellow man.  As father and son are washed ashore after their steamer ship explodes, the men find refuge on a mysterious island where their nefarious host, Baron Von Wolf, reveals to them that the island is his game preserve where human beings serve as the ultimate hunt. Berenger plays a man who has been hiding on the island but whose sanity is on the verge of collapse.
