Abacus Media Rights’ “The Missing Children” nominated for BAFTA

“The Missing Children”, a three part documentary series telling the extraordinary true story of Tuam, Ireland’s most notorious mother and baby home for unwed mothers, has been nominated for a BAFTA award in the BEST SPECIALIST FACTUAL category. 

The BAFTA nominated documentary is distributed by Amcomri Entertainment’s TV series and documentary distribution arm Abacus Media Rights. The Missing Children is the definitive documentary about an international scandal – told through the eyes of survivors, the siblings of the missing children, and those who were adopted, and are now searching for their birth families and for the truth.

Described as “Commandingly thorough” by the Irish Times and “Extraordinary and moving” by the Daily Mail, the documentary series aired in November 2021 on the British broadcasting network ITV and was met with an incredible reception, leading to the nomination of the Neovision and True Vision series for a BAFTA in 2022.
